Scrapbooking Magazine Subscriptions You Need to Get Today
There aren’t as many scrapbooking magazine subscriptions out there as there used to be. Magazines, in general, just aren’t as popular as digital magazines have taken over. But if you are a paper crafter, you probably still appreciate a “paper” magazine!
WHAT SCRAPBOOKING MAGAZINE SUBSCRIPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE?
There are still a handful of paper-crafting magazines being published. I subscribe to two that I love and look forward to each quarter.
CREATIVE SCRAPBOOKER MAGAZINE
I have been getting the Creative Scrapbooker magazine for over a year and I adore it. It is published quarterly and is a Canadian-based magazine. The magazine is thick and over 140 pages. There are tons of scrapbook layout ideas, card-making ideas and even some contests.
SCRAPBOOK & CARDS TODAY MAGAZINE
Scrapbook & Cards Today magazine is another of the scrapbooking magazine subscriptions I subscribe to. This one is also a quarterly magazine. Scrapbook & Cards Today is not as thick as Creative Scrapbooker. It runs around 80 pages, but they are packed with goodness. Be sure to check for free printables and SVG downloads that may be available with some issues.
SIMPLY CARDS & PAPERCRAFT MAGAZINE
Simply Cards & Papercraft Magazine focuses more on card-making than scrapbooking. The fun thing about this magazine is they usually include fun “gifts” with each issue. Sometimes it is a stamp set or a die cut or even a paper pad. You can also buy back issues here.
PAPERCRAFT ESSENTIALS
Papercraft Essentials magazine is a Great Britian based magazine. This is another magazine that typically comes with a complete card kit. The magazine is packed with tips, tricks and more. It focuses mostly on card-making.
DIE-CUTTING ESSENTIALS MAGAZINE
If you love using dies in your card-making then you will love the Die-Cutting Essentials magazine. The best part is that it comes with a die set each issue.
CREATIVE STAMPING MAGAZINE
The Creative Stamping magazine is chock full of stamping goodness. It offers tutorials and tips to making your stamp projects perfect. Each issue includes a stamp set and ideas on how to use it.
OTHER OPTIONS FOR INSPIRATION
There are other ways to get your hands on scrapbook inspiration even if you don’t choose to sign up for a subscription to a magazine.
- Company inspiration books are a great place to see new ideas. I know that Creative Memories and Stampin’ Up both put out books a few times a year. Check with your local consultant to see what is available.
- Ask your crafting friends if they have any old papercrafting magazines they don’t want anymore. I have gotten tons of magazines when friends cleaned out their craft rooms.
- You can actually buy old issues of magazines on Ebay and other auction type sites. Sometimes you can get a great price for a large number of magazines. Just remember to check shipping costs!
Do you currently have any scrapbooking magazine subscriptions? If so, which one?
