How to Use Rub-Ons in Your Card Making
If you love to make cards, but don’t feel like getting your stamp supplies out…no worries! You can make some beautiful cards without stamps. Check out the cards I made and learn how to use rub-ons in your card making for a fun change.

How to Use Rub-Ons in Your Card-Making
I love to make cards, but will be totally honest and say I get sick of stamping and die cutting all the time. Sometimes, I just want to be able to make a beautiful card fast. One of the quickest ways to make a card is to use rub-ons in your card-making.
What are Rub-Ons?
Rub-ons are decorative pictures or patterns that come on a backing sheet. The design is similar to a temporary tatoo or sticker without adhesive. The design is transferred to your project by rubbing on the top with a popsicle stick or other tool. Then you peel back the top sheet and the transfer rub-on is now on your project.
It is simple to use and they look amazing on the cardstock.
Supplies Used
I made all of these cards using ONE set of rub-ons. The set is so pretty that I couldn’t quit making cards with it.

Card #1 Camera
I used a set of Simple Stories Simple Vintage Flower Shoppe Rub-Ons for these cards.
The first card features a camera and floral setting. I added the sentiment using foam tape to pop it up. I loved this sentiment and used it repeatedly. This card is horizontal.

Card #2 Metal Container of Tulips
The next card features a collage of tulips in a vintage metal container. I also rubbed on a couple of hearts. I gave the card dimension by using foam tape on the sentiment.

Card #3 Wooden Chair
I love the old wooden chair in this design. The watering can has a floral arrangement in it. I added the “Happy Birthday” sentiment with foam tape. This is a great card for anyone’s birthday!

Card #4 Metal Bucket with Peonies
Another great birthday card features a vintage metal bucket full of peonies. The colors are so pretty! The sentiment was adhered using foam tape.

These cards took very little time to make and turned out gorgeous.
