What To Take To a Crop Plus Free Printable Checklist
Knowing what to take to a crop will keep you from forgetting something important like PHOTOS! You can also grab a free printable crop checklist to help you make sure you get the essentials packed.
WHAT IS A CROP?
I don’t want to assume everyone knows what a crop is, so here is a quick explanation: A crop is a gathering of scrapbookers, card-makers, or crafters. There are small and large crops, so it may be 5 people or 500 people.
The crop will take place in a location that has enough room for everyone to have a table to work at. Personally, I like crops whereone gets a whole table to themselves. Some crops will have you share a table with one other person.
The crop may last a few hours or a few days. 🙂 I love going to crops because the time is very focused on crafting. No laundry, no making dinner, no household chores…just scrapbooking!! I can get a lot done when I am away from the house.
WHAT TO TAKE TO A CROP
The first question to ask yourself is: what do I want to accomplish at the crop. Do you plan to scrapbook? Do you plan to make cards? Maybe you want to complete a fancy mini-album. Knowing the answer to this question will help you know what to take to a crop.
You will need basic tools for almost any project. Things like scissors, paper trimmer, adhesive, etc., are staples of papercrafting.
But if I am working on only cards, then I won’t need to bring any albums or page kits with me. Visa versa if I am working on scrapbook layouts then I don’t need my card supplies.
The crop checklist has items for both card-making and scrapbooking on it. You can just cross off things that you know you won’t need to take.
